USDA Guidelines & Reviewing Process
The following process details the requirements for CAC materials submitted to USDA for review and approval. Adhering to this process streamlines the review and approval timing of CAC materials by USDA.
In addition to those materials requiring USDA approval, all nutrition materials must be prepared and submitted to CAC following the below-referenced guidelines. Although, based on the funding, they may not require USDA APPROVAL, we treat them as though they do, being careful to work within the USDA guidelines and providing the required supporting documentation at the time of submission to CAC.
When preparing materials that will eventually require USDA approval, please follow the process and procedures outlined in the USDA Submission Procedures 12-7-16 – please review this document before answering the questions on the next page.
