Gratuity is calculated as per the applicable law; which currently is 15 days of basic salary for each year of completed employment
Gratuity will start from October 2012 (being the legal incorporation date of JBara Software Pvt Ltd (Now Gainsight Software Pvt Ltd)) or your date of employment with the company whichever is later

Lesson 3 - Admin Policies and Suggested DL Groups
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to
Understand the details of the Admin policies
Understand the responsibilities of the employees
Know different DLs and join the relevant DLs
Administrative policies help employees understand basic rules of the office. These rules help in smooth functioning of the day-to-day work at office. It also helps in different ongoing audits at office.
Following is the minimum expectation from everyone at the office:-
Displaying of Id cards all the time, while in Office.
Tailgating is prohibited.
Please report the Admin dept immediately, if you lose the Id card.
If a Id card is lost/ stolen then the employee will be charged ₹250.00 for a new id card, to be procured.
Temporary Id cards, given at the time of joining, have to be handed over to the Admin dept, while collecting your permanent card.
Head set is a part of your kit for you to be used.
All the original chargers and Mac connector should be returned back at the time of exit, in case if you are not able to do so, the price of the original accessory will be deducted from your full and final settlement.
Following clear desk policy is recommended.
Please be very careful with your laptops, any damage to the laptop, because of the rough handling or carelessness, will be thoroughly investigated and proper action will be taken on the same.

Lesson 4 - Finance Policies
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to

The purpose of this policy is to inform the employee of Gainsight the financial details about salary, HR portal, expense claims and Insurance details.1. Salary accounts at HDFC Bank
Payroll is executed periodically. Paychecks or direct deposits will be provided to each employee by the Finance department. Monthly payroll expenses shall be verified by the Finance department against payroll reports and direct deposit reports and reconciled with checking account reports.
Details needed from the employee to create an account in HDFC Bank.
Address proof (Aadhar card/passport or Driving license)
Id proof (Pan card)
Salaries will be processed on the last working day of the month
2. HR Portal - GreytHR - https://gsspl.greythr.com/login.do
GreytHR is a cloud-based payroll and HR software. The greytHR Employee Portal enables you to view your information and to interact with your company and colleagues.
Here is a small sample of various actions you can do with the Employee Portal:
View or update your personal information
View monthly payslips
View a variety of Payroll-related information
View your Leave and Attendance information
View updates in the organization
Apply, track, and review the status of leave applications
Submit IT declaration and also Proof of Investment
File income tax returns
Raise help desk tickets
Managers and supervisors can use the portal to perform the following actions:
View the team's leave calendar
Review team members’ leave applications
Track the team’s leave plan
Delegate workflows to other colleagues
View the team's attendance and information on team members who are absent
3. Expense claims through GreytHR
A petty cash fund provides a systematic method for paying and recording out-of-pocket cash payments too small to be made by check. You have to use the Expense claims through the GerytHR tool.How to use the GreatHR for Expense claims:
After you Log in to GreytHR , please select "Actions" > Apply
- Please select "Expense Claims" to the extreme left of the screen
3. Click on Create Claim
4. Select the type of expense and fill out the details.
5. Please attach a photo of the bill/receipt and send for approval
6. Once approved, the claims will be paid out in "Batches" of 1 week and the amount will be transferred to your HDFC account on the immediately succeeding Tuesday.
7. Please deposit the physical copy of the bill/receipt in the Deposit Box which will be kept in all the offices. The payout will happen once the physical copy is checked.
Up to 3 lakhs for self, spouse and 3 children
Up to 50,000 for Maternity benefit
Group Personal Accident Policy
Coverage of up to 10 lakhs on:
Permanent total disablement
Temporary total disablement
Temporary partial disablement
Documents to be submitted
You must submit the following documents at the time of making a claim for
the Group Mediclaim Policy benefits:
Bill, receipt and discharge certificate/card from the hospital
Cash memo from the hospital/chemist(s), supported by proper prescription
Receipt and pathological test reports from a pathologist supported by a note from the attending medical practitioner/surgeon demanding such pathological tests
Surgeon’s certificate stating nature of operation performed and surgeon’s bill and receipt
Attending doctor’s/consultant’s/specialist’s/anesthetist’s bill and receipt and certificate regarding diagnosis
In case of domiciliary hospitalization, receipt from a qualified nurse who attended the patient at his/her residence duly supported by a certificate from the attending medical practitioner.
Certificate from the attending medical practitioner giving reasons for allowing treatment at home
Certificate from the attending medical practitioner/surgeon that the patient is fully cured
The following are not reimbursable or covered under the Group Mediclaim Policy:
Cost of spectacles, contact lenses and hearing aids.
Dental treatment or surgery of any kind unless in accident requiring hospitalization.
Convalescence, general debility, ‘run-down’ condition or rest cure, congenital external disease or defects or abnormalities, sterility, venereal disease, intentional self-injury and use of intoxicating drugs/alcohol.
Charges incurred at hospital or nursing home primarily for diagnostic, x-ray, or laboratory examinations not consistent with or incidental to the diagnosis and treatment of the positive existence or presence of any ailment, sickness or injury, for which confinement is required at a hospital/nursing home or at home under domiciliary hospitalization as defined.
Expenses on vitamins and tonics unless forming part of treatment for injury or disease as certified by the attending physician.
- Gainsight provides $55 as per diem for international travel
- Gainsight provides INR 400 per day for domestic travel
Appropriate bills should be produced for the reimbursement of expense.
