2c. Practice: Doing your own research

Doing your own research

Try it out: Conducting your own research

Using the discussion guide you worked on in the previous module, conduct and take notes on 3 in-person, 20-minute interviews with people at your school or in the local community.

If you have access to a camera, take photos during your interviews. If you have access to a device that can record audio or video, record your interviews.

Share and reflect

Share a summary of the notes you took with your problem-specific learning group, along with three interesting or surprising things you heard during your interviews.

Remember to respect the privacy of your research participants by not sharing their names, photos, or other identifying information with your learning group.
