Lesson 1 - Create Campaign

Creating a Campaign

Before you can create an estimate, you must first have a campaign. It is very easy to create a campaign in H2.

We have recently won the UNIVERSAL McCANN KOREA pitching, and we already need to start working with our client. Please create a campaign in Halogen with the following information:

  • Campaign Name: UNIVERSAL Ad Jun 2016 – [your name]
  • Client: UNIVERSAL McCANN KOREA
  • Product: GENERAL
  • Campaign Duration: 01 Jun 2017 - 31 Dec 2017

Need help? Refer to the create campaign how-to here.

Lesson 1 - Question 1

What is the name of the campaign you have just created in lesson 1?

Lesson 1 - Question 2

Who do you think should be the one that is creating or maintaining the campaign?

  • Finance

What is an Estimate?

What is an estimate?

An estimate is a detailed schedule prepared after you have a brief. A typical estimate consists of the following parts:

  1. Header
  2. Insertion(s)

Header

A header of an estimate consists of information such as Campaign, Client, Product and etc.

Insertion(s)

An estimate can contain one or multiple line of insertion. An insertion is actually a group of SPOTS, usually grouped by Channel, Program and Cost.

Lesson 2 - Create Estimate

Creating an estimate

Creating an estimate involve first create the estimate (header), choosing all the correct information for the estimate, followed by creating insertion lines in the estimate.

During estimate creation, you may ignore those fields which are not relevant to you. All you need are mandatory fields such as Company, Campaign, Client and Bill To Client, Product and Bill To Product, Media Type, Currency, Start Date, End Date.

Now try to create an estimate using the following information:

  • Company - Choose the company you are assigned to
  • Campaign - Choose the campaign you have created in Lesson 1.
  • Client - Choose [x]
  • Bill To Client - Choose [x]
  • Product - Choose [x]
  • Bill To Product - Choose [x]
  • Media Type - Choose [x]
  • Currency - Choose [x]
  • Start Date - Choose [x]
  • End Date - Choose [x]

Lesson 2 - Question 1

What is the estimate number for the estimate you have just created?
