หลักการใช้ is am are มีคร่าวๆว่า เอกพจน์ใช้ is พหูพจน์ใช้ are ส่วน I ใช้ am

Is Am Are ใน Tense ต่างๆ

1. Present Simple Tense   

  •   is am are แปลว่า เป็น อยู่ คือ  (ประธาน+ is, am, are, + นาม

I am a student. ผมเป็นนักเรียน (student = นาม)He is in the room. เขาอยู่ในห้อง (room = นาม)We are tigers. พวกเราคือเสือ (tiger = นาม)

  • แต่บางครั้ง is am are ไม่ต้องแปล  (ประธาน+ is, am, are, + คุณศัพท์

I am tall. ผมสูง (tall = คุณศัพท์)She is short. หล่อน เตี้ย ( short= คุณศัพท์)They are smart. พวกเขาเทห์ ( smart=คุณศัพท์)

2.  Present Continuous  (เรียนรู้เต็มๆในเรื่อง Present continuous)

  • is am are อย่าแยกแปล ให้แปลควบกับคำกริยาที่เติม ing 

I am eating. ผมกำลังกิน

He is running. เขากำลังวิ่ง 

We are  swimming. พวกเรากำลังว่ายน้ำ
