Welcome to Workday.

Workday is our key system for inputting and extracting people data in ThoughtWorks. Our source of truth for People Data, feeding into several other systems in ThoughtWorks (including jigsaw and sales funnel). It replaces People Soft HR, with which we've been working with through the last 10 years.

Why Workday?

What is new with Workday?

Workday replaces People Soft HR, with which we've been working with through the last 10 years. Although PSHR "did the job", it was outdated and didn't have the functionalities required to ensure data accuracy and compliance on a large scale. Let alone reporting. 

Why Workday?

Workday is friendly, where search is easier and reports are more complete and flexible. Every ThoughtWorker (not only the People Support Team) will have access to it. They do not need to ask for every single piece of information. Some business leaders will have access themselves to reports, so you will have some time back. Instead of receiving lots of information through chat or email (which is a big security risk!), the system allows processes to be initiated by any TWer, while you receive a notification, or a request to review or to approve. We are compliant and safe this way. 

You are still the main user of the system, with the widest access and owner of numerous business processes. 

Better Reporting

What can I do with Workday?

Workday has a huge suite of functionalities that range from HR, Finance, to Procurement. The first roll out for ThoughtWorks is the HCM module (Human Capital Management). This module will cover the 'Hire to Retire' processes at ThoughtWorks.

For an HR Partner 

As an HR partner, you have access to information about all positions and TWers in your location. You will be able to:

  • Hire, Rehire, and Convert, based on information provided by the recruiting team directly into Workday from Greenhouse. 
  • Create / Manage Positions in my location. 
  • Be notified about personal information changes made by TWers. 
  • Manage job change: job profiles (grade and salary), Supervisory Organizations (former departments and business units), Location (country and office people are linked to), Company (legal entity TWers are linked to), and effort (part time, full time).
