If you have been set up with "View Only" access in order to review clinical documentation on a patient who has been seen in an Accuro-run outpatient clinic, this is all the training you need to complete.
If you work in an Accuro-run outpatient clinic, this course is the foundation to the classes you can sign up for.
You might already know it inside and out or you might know a little bit (or maybe you have never signed in), but by the end of it, you'll easily find your way around Accuro.
We want to build on what you know already. Please take the Assessment to start.

In the Traffic manager you can assign patients to treatment rooms. The screen refreshes every 30 seconds, so it provides an overview of your clinic’s traffic and shows you where clients and providers are in real time.

In Accuro, users can send each other mail messages. To access them, click the Home tab. The screenshot below shows what it looks like and has more information.

Understanding how patient demographics display in Accuro (copy)
In Accuro, once you look up a patient, they are "loaded" or "in context". That patient is still "in context", or "loaded" even if you switch screens. How do you know if a patient is in context or loaded?

In Accuro, once you look up a patient, they are "loaded" or "in context". That patient is still "in context", or "loaded" even if you switch screens. You can see the patient who is in context along the top of the screen. It's important to reference this area as you work to ensure you are documenting on the correct patient.

It's true that you can customize how the information about a patient is displayed at the top of the window. We will go over that in another course, but for now, just know that you can set this to the way you like to see the information.
This demographic section along the top of the window can be customized to show the details you want to see.
Even though you can customize this section, you should include at least 3 demographic identifiers that can be used to verify the correct patient is loaded. Which of the following are considered identifiers?
Some patients, particularly family members, have very similar names and even some demographics. It is critical that the correct patient is chosen from a list of search results to avoid mixing patient records and potentially causing a serious, adverse patient event.
