Correct answer: Askin's Tumor

The correct answer is Askin's tumour. It is a neuroendocrine tumour belonging to the category of PNET cells. Previously called Ewing's sarcoma, Presents with red hot swelling on the chest with focal tumour. Tumour arises from the soft tissue rather than the ribs.

Osteosarcoma of the rib is unlikely and so is plasmacytoma,the latter is noted more commonly in adults and in a pelvic location.
