How to Spot Phishing Attempts

Every month, on average, our Information Security team blocks over 20 million malicious emails, but despite that effort an average of 35 TU NetID accounts are still compromised. One of the ways in which a NetID is compromised is through fake emails (known as phishing attempts). In order to protect both you and the University it is important that you can decipher between a legitimate and a fake email. To help you spot a fraudulent email, this interactive tutorial will show you examples of what to look out for.
