Hi there,

A risk assessment is not about creating huge amounts of paperwork , but rather about identifying sensible measures to control the risks in your workplace.   This is known as risk assessment and it is something you are required by law to carry out.

Following 5 steps will enable you to meet your legal requirement and produce a good Risk Assessment

The Five Steps

Step 1 - Identify the Hazards

Before you can identify what hazards are in your workplace you need to understand what a Hazard is.

hazard is something that can cause harm, e.g. electricity, chemicals, working up a ladder, noise, a keyboard, a bully at work, stress, etc.
