Manual Call Point 

Manual alarm call points are designed for the purpose of raising an alarm manually once verification of a fire or emergency condition exists, by operating the push button or break glass, the alarm signal can be raised.

Emergency Door Release

In the case when the power to the emergency door lock does not cut off when the fire or emergency alarm activates, by operating the break glass the door will then be open.

Steps to activate a Manual Call Point (MCP)

  1. Staff must know the location of MCP at the workplace. Proceed to the nearest MCP for alarm activation. 
  2. For safety reason, use a hard object (e.g pen) to break the glass of the MCP. Aim at the center of the break glass.
  3. The alarm bell shall be ringing continuously after the activation of the MCP. Fire Warden shall be notified immediately.

S - SWEEP from side to side.
